The Department of Photography, Modern Graphics and Multiples

Established as an independent division in November 2022, the Department of Photography, Modern Graphics and Artist Multiples represented a pivotal development in Capitolium Art’s strategic growth. Its creation responded to the increasing market demand for specialisation, offering a clear distinction between unique artworks and editioned pieces – aligning seamlessly with evolving trends in international collecting.

Under the expert direction of Elisabetta Donati – also coordinator of the Modern and Contemporary Art Department and a seasoned professional with over ten years of experience – the department presents a refined and highly specialised selection of works. It encompasses all major artistic movements of the 20th century, from early avant-garde and the abstract schools of the 1950s to contemporary styles. The department also highlights figurative art from the 20th century, conceptual trends from the 1960s and ’70s, and Pop Art, covering the full spectrum of the past century’s artistic expressions.

The department has successfully offered works by prestigious and internationally recognised artists such as Giorgio Morandi, Andy Warhol, Keith Haring, and Piero Manzoni.
