Gastone Biggi (Rome, 1925). He graduated from the Art School of Rome and taught there until 1984. In the following years he dedicated himself to painting, held numerous solo exhibitions and participated in important national and international exhibitions. He is invited to exhibit at Biennials and Quadrennials, wins several awards and his works are exhibited in the major Modern Art Galleries in the world. In 1962 he founded Gruppo Uno and from 1970 to 1980 he collaborated with the newspaper l'Umanità, editing an art column. In 1999 he published a monograph entitled Autoritratto and in 2005 the volume Incursioni d'Artista. In 2009 he participated in the Venice Biennale.
